Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon doesn't need Far Cry 3 to play, its standalone. Campaign is quite short compared to Far Cry 3. Definitely not 100s of hours worth; I've around 13 hours so far and have obtained all gun upgrades, all skill levels, liberated all garrisons, and completed all sidequests. Just the last story quest to do.
