Drop your target if using it defensively. This builds has low active defenses. Balanced Stance. gives Stability and makes you immune to critical hits for its duration, but is very important for protecting. Winds of Disenchantment. If you think you're likely to completely die with no chance of being rezzed, use.
The Traitlines Explosives (3-1-3), Firearms (3-3-2) are the basis of any Power rifle engineer build. (You can adjust them a bit if you need more boons in open world.) For the 3rd traitline you can take Tools until you unlock Mechanist. The strongest setup for Utility Skills on Core Engi is A.E.D, Grenade Kit, Rifle Turret, Throw Mine, Mortar
Yea probably soloing t1 fractals is a pretty good way to get into soloing. MAMA is the first boss of the nightmare fractal when challenge mote is activated, you can see a solo by me here - very hard to kill at first, but once you invest some time into trying you definitely learn a loooot of mechanics. 2. Magoslich. Warriors is just the most on the nose fantasy aesthetic, huge health and armor values, adrenaline mechanics, can use a ton of weapons etc. But generally Warrior is a weak class in terms of optimization/power level. Rangers are jacks of all trades, masters of none. They can solo clear, farm, tank, etc. Sith Inquisitor Assassin - Deception. Jedi Consular Shadow - Infiltration. These two stealth classes make game play faster and easier. There are so many mobs that you can simply stealth past both in normal play and flashpoints. As a solo player that simplifies things.
Before this goes any further I feel like we need to dispel the notion of what a "tanky" character in GW2 is. Unlike most traditional MMOs that have a beefy tank that builds all health and armor, GW2 PvE content revolves around doing the most damage possible and avoiding attacks via dodge or block.
Instance PvE - Guardian: You can do everything on a basic level, except stealth, superspeed and portals. But that is barely required to get the job done. sPvP - Not a big pvp player at the moment, but I heard catalyst and spellbreaker are very good right now. This can/will change very soon probably. WvW - Guardian.
Rev is much more versatile overall, and better in wvw zergs. Ranger is better in pvp and Druid is the best pve support in the game at the moment, although its level of skill expression is very high so take that into consideration. Calvaaa. • 7 mo. ago.
This is a new open world solo build for Untamed Rangers since the loss of Fervent Force in the June 27th balance patch. It boasts moderate solo dps (~15k), i
MMs running celestial (a bit tanky and with conditions and power and buff and debuff duration boosts) is pretty much easy mode in OW. Basic build is 1) death magic (for the minion traits) 2) blood magic (for the siphon traits) and then take your pick for 3: curses (for conditions) , spite (for power), soul reaping (for shroud buffs) , reaper
For open world solo pve, I recommend Power Reaper. Use Spite (Spiteful Talisman or Bitter Chill, Awaken the Pain, and Dread or Close to Death), Reaper (Chilling Nova, Soul Eater or Decimate Defenses, and Reaper's Onslaught), and Death Magic for more defense or Soul Reaping for a bit more offense. Death Magic is more versatile and has more
Assassin can solo-farm a lot of things as well, so even though I don't like the class, it's very good for PvE. use critical agility then abilities, if low on energy critical strike, moebius strike to reset combos etc, if you dont want to use dash swap it out for critical eye/defenses. Nifty.
Mesmer PvE. The Split Surge Mirage is a mesmer build for open world PvE that sustains itself by dodging A LOT. Dodging creates clones and enables you and those clones to use Ambush skills which improve the 1 skill of each weapon. On Dagger, the Ambush skill is a daze which can apply tons of vulnerability and grant you quickness due to the A mostly Air focused elementalist build for open world, the Fresh Air Tempest has massive area of effect spells, single target burst, and great defensive utilities to keep them alive. The Fresh Air trait allows you to incur the 20 second cooldown from Overloading Air Attunement but recharge it the instant you crit outside of Air Attunement. ySiNFG.
