Myfirst 1.8t was in a mk4 GTI and I liked it so much I specifically shopped for a 1.8t B5 A4, I just made sure to get a later year year car instead of an early one like my GTI. I think you could get a 20v 1.8t VW until about '06. My 2000 GTI had an 058 block instead of an 06A, so the old style engine block. The Audi AEB engine is an 058 as well.
